"...It is finished..."
John 19:30
Finished in Greek is Teleo which is defined as generally involving the notion of time, to perform the last act which completes a process, to accomplish, fulfill.
Those three words were the hope that Jesus gave us.
God forgives sin only because of the death of Jesus. Of course He loves us, but the only reason He can forgive us of our sins is that someone else took the punishment for those sins.
It was finished does not mean "I am finished because I failed".
It is finished was His shout of victory!
He was victorious over our sins!
He accomplished exactly what He came here for.

But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was upon him, and by his wounds we are healed.

Isaiah 53:5
It was one of the greatest prophesies to be fulfilled.
That because of His wounds, we are healed.
So that all the world would sing His great name: Jesus!
There was no price He wouldn't pay.
Even death. He died so that we could live.
It is truly the greatest love story of all time.
